About Touring Caravans

Gayton Road Fisheries is now open and availability is in line with our Covid-19 policy.

At Gayton Road Fisheries (in some publications 'Grasslands') you will find tranquillity in a rural West Norfolk location. Once discovered, many guests return to this site when visiting West Norfolk and the surrounding area, and we hope you will do the same.

This lovely site has four individual touring caravan pitches which measure a minimum of 10 metres by 10 metres. All the pitches are grass laid over a support mesh, so are suitable for use all year round. A small privet hedge defines the boundary of each pitch and with a grassy bank to the rear makes them sheltered from high winds and ideal to maintain privacy and social distancing, when required.

The C&CC CS is adjacent to Heron Pool and Kingfisher Pond so fishing or birdwatching is only a short stroll from your pitch. Most of the grounds are accessible by electric mobility scooter should walking prove difficult. The site is secure with access to guests only.

The overall site is 10 acres with three lakes and ponds covering a total area of three and a half acres; this tells you there is plenty of space for four touring caravans, eight seasonal pitches and a couple of lodges. With more than 30 pegs available to fish, long gone are the days when you have to be up and fishing by 6am just to get a peg. Here, we can assure you there is plenty of room for all.

The coarse fishing available on site is suitable for the beginner and the specimen hunter alike as our three fisheries can cater for most anglers' needs. Please see our fishing pages for more info. However, if Trout are your chosen sport, Gayton Road Fisheries also manages a 25 acre Trout fishery only 5 miles from the site and will be only too happy to arrange a session for you.

This site must be visited to appreciate it.
